Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Trade Witness, a brand of Inner Circle Solutions LLC ("Trade Witness", "we", "us"), collects and uses information in the Trade Witness web app and text message alerts (the "Service").
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, username, email address and login credentials.
- Mobile phone number and SMS opt-in data: if you sign up for text alerts under Text message alerts in Profile settings, your mobile number, the alert types you chose, and the date and time you consented to texts and agreed to our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy.
- Brokerage data: for traders who connect a brokerage account, the account's orders, trades, balances and positions, used to check the trader's own rules.
- Witness links and rules: the rules you set, the witnesses you choose, and the alerts and sign-offs between you.
- Technical information: a session cookie that keeps you logged in, and server logs (such as request times and errors) used to run and secure the Service.
How we use it
We use this information only to provide the Service: to check trading rules, to notify witnesses on screen and by text, to keep a record of your text alert consent, to keep account records, and to provide support. Sensitive information, such as brokerage credentials and personal contact details, is stored encrypted.
SMS and mobile information
We use your mobile phone number only to send the Trade Witness alerts you opted in to. We do not send marketing texts.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with, or sold to, any third parties. The only exception is the messaging providers that deliver our texts, and they may use your number solely to deliver them.
You can stop texts at any time by selecting Stop text alerts in Profile settings, or by replying STOP to any Trade Witness text. See the SMS section of our Terms of Service.
Sharing
Trade Witness does not sell your personal information. We share information only:
- with the witnesses a trader chooses, limited to what that trader's witness settings allow;
- with service providers that operate the Service on our behalf, such as hosting and text message delivery, under obligations to protect it;
- when required by law.
Retention and your choices
We keep information while your account is active and as needed for records, including a record of when you consented to texts. You can stop text alerts in Profile settings at any time. To ask for your phone number to be removed or your account to be deleted, email us.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows when it last changed.
